Benllech Circular

This is a very gentle 9 km (5.5 mile) walk which should take between 2 to 3 hours at a steady pace. It is country walking along newly opened footpaths around Cors Goch Nature Reserve and passing a burial chamber

Start at Benllech Library car park SH517824, head towards the Glanrafon Hotel cross Lon Pant y Cudyn road and take the footpath at the right of the Kit and Kaboodle shop walking through the wood to the Bwlch Road. Turn left towards Dorothea Covert and just before you reach this turn right at the finger post and walk along the path past Glyn. After the farm buildings bear right down the track through a gate to the field then branch right through a kissing gate. Cross the next field through another kissing gate near Ty Mawr and follow the track to the chapel on the Lanbedrgoch road.(SH508808)

Cross this road taking the path opposite and at the end of the covered pathway bear left to follow the path through the wood to Tyn-llwyn . Cross the field to the metalled road SH500803) and turn right along the track to Castell. Turn right at this property through the gate and after a short distance take the path to the left past Parc-newydd through the Cors Goch Nature Reserve to the Lanbedrgoch Road (SH504816).

Turn right towards Llanbedrgoch, by the layby take the path on the left towards the Quarry and follow this path over the fields to the Bwlch road then turn left towards the village and right along the track for about 50 yards to a kigging gate on the left. Follow the way markers up the hill past the burial chamber and head towards Tynygongl. At the B5108, turn right and almost immediately turn right again past the caravan park and follow the path across the field to Lon Pant y Cudyn. Turn right pass the Police Station and return to the Library Car Park
