Brynteg Circular

This is a gentle walk of 9 kms (5.5miles) through countryside using newly opened footpaths in Brynteg and Cors Goch Nature Reserve. There are a few stiles but these should not prove to be a problem. Allow 3 hours at a gentle pace.

Start at Brynteg Community Hall (SH484927) turn left and almost immediately cross the road and walk down Lon Dre to the new path opposite (SH492823) Climb the stile and walk diagonally across to the first field then follow the left boundary of the next field through two gates and over the bridge heading towards Tyddyn Phillip at SH486826 . Follow the way marker posts through this property turn left down the track to the Llangefni Road B5110 (SH487815) Turn right and take the lane opposite and after about 100 metres take the path on the right past Rhuddlan Fawr into Cors Goch Nature Reserve . At Rhuddlan Bach take the left path towards Caban Aur at SH494804.

At this point follow the road down to Pen-y-Cefn at SH500802 and turn left up the track to Castell at SH499807. At this property turn left towards Pant-glas at SH493810. Follow this path over the stepping stones to Ynys Uchaf taking the right hand path over Afon Marchogian to Ysgubor Fadog at SH498820, then through Glan Cors caravan park.

At the Caravan Park entrance turn left along Lon Bryn Mair to the footpath signed through Bryn Tirion on the right. Follow this path until it meets the B5110 Llangefni - Brynteg road. Turn right and you will see the next road side waymarking post about 50metres ahead on the opposite side of the road. Turn left at this road side way marker,over the stile and follow way markers to Plas Pwyll-Melyn. Proceed along the track to the kissing gate at the right of this property, walk straight across the field to the way marking post on the opposite field boundary , turn right to the new gates and bridge at SH491826.and retrace your steps back along Lon Dre to the Community Hall.
