This is a gentle walk of 5 kms (4miles) which should take about 2 hours at a steady pace. It follows the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path to Porth Wen then heads inland heading south then east back to Bull Bay. Some of the stiles have been replaced by kissing gates for ease of access.
Park in Bull Bay at SH426943 and take the track up with Bull Bay Hotel on the left to the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path, turn left and follow this path to Porth Wen. All along this coast there are fascinating cliff formations and views of steep sided inlets. At the picturesque bay of Porth Wen there are views of the red chimneys and beehive kilns of the old brickworks. At SH408944 turn left and head towards Castell farm through two farm gates and on to Porthwen house. Turn left at the junction follow the track for approximately 350m and turn right over the field and up the hill through the gorse, go through the farm gate on the left passing in front of Pant y Gaseg farmhouse towards the old ruined windmill at SH415942. At this point go through the kissing gate follow the stone wall in the field to the lane at Glasfryn. Cross the lane go through the kissing gate opposite, over the field to another track head right for a short distance then left over a stone stile heading towards Ty Gwyn. Turn right through a kissing gate down the steps then along the drive of this property for a short distance and follow the signs back to the road, turn left past the toilets back to the starting point.
