Pentraeth Circular

This is a gentle scenic walk of approximately 14 kms with views over Traeth Coch and a route through Pentraeth Forest which should take 3.5 to 4 hours at a steady pace.

Start at Pentraeth Car Park at Grid Reference SH5523784 turn left down Chapel Street to SH522787 and turn right along the path heading towards Traeth Coch. At SH531737 turn right and follow the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path past the car park and along the beach to SH552801. At the way marker turn right along the narrow road to SH559798, turn right and follow this path past SH556794 to Ty’n-y-mynydd at SH558790 bearing left to SH564791.

Turn right passing Bryn Castell and Hafotty to SH560778 then take another right turn heading past Rhos to SH548782. Turn right and follow this path past Llyn Llwydiarth through Pentraeth Forest to SH539795 rejoining the IACP at this point.

Turn left passing Bryn Hyrddin to the main road and turn right by the telephone box to SH534797. Retrace the outward route to SH531737 turn left and return to the start point in Pentraeth

This walk can be reduced by 5kms and approximately 1 hour by using the car park on the beach but care must be taken as this can be flooded at high tides.
