The Silver Slashers have been working with members of Highways Department of Anglesey County Council opening footpaths across the island. Below are details of circular walks that include the paths worked on with the hope that they get regular use to keep them open. Mynydd Eilian to Parys Mountain Circular Walk Much work has been done in this area which has opened a wonderful circular route from Mynydd Eilian around Parys Mountain and back. New stiles have been installed and the restored footpaths have been way marked for ease of use. This is a fair;y gentle walk of approximately 11km across farmland with sea views. It has a slightly elevated section around Parys Mountain and should take some 3.5 to 4 hours at a steady pace

Pentraeth Forest Circular Walk This is a gentle scenic walk of approximately 9kms with views over Traeth Coch then through Pentraeth Forest and should take 2 to 2.5 hours at a steady pace

Mynydd Mechell Circular Walk A great deal of work has been undertaken to restore footpaths in this peaceful area of the island making it possible to make a lovely circular route of approximately 5 kms. There are ladder stiles at intervals and the paths are way marked for ease of use, the circuit should take 2 hours at a gentle pace. There are numerous other paths in the area so much longer walks are possible if desired

Llangoed Circular Walk This is a fairly gentle 11.5km walk along parts of the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path in the Llangoed area and should take around 3.5 to 4 hours at a steady pace. There is a limited amount of walking on quiet roads and the walk includes a footpath previously closed for 30 years now opened in memory of Ramsey Clark who worked tirelessly endeavouring to keep the island footpaths open. Historic sites such as Bwrdd Arthur Fort and Castell Aberlleiniog can be easily visited from this route and a diversion to Penmon Lighhouse is recommended

Amlwch Circular Walk This is a fairly testing walk of approximately 9kms from Amlwch Port around Llaneilian so there is some uphill walking as the route ascends 250m in total. It should take 3 to 3.5 hours at a steady pace and affords wonderful views over the Irish Sea and Point Lynas

Copper Coast Circular Walk This walk was conceived by John Stubbs planned by him and Paul Brown with the way markers designed by Hefin Roberts. It starts and finishes at Amlwch Port visiting Point Lynas headland for a chance to sight seals, dolphins and a variety of bird life before heading down the Coastal Path to Dulas then inland to Parys Mountain. It is a relatively gentle although rather lengthy 22km walk taking some 6 hours to complete with rest stops
